of COVID-19'
Building on the work begun by the Royal Society's Rapid Assistance in
Modelling the Pandemic (RAMP) initiative, this 3-day science meeting on
the Environmental and Aerosol Transmission of COVID-19 will review
existing work and identify where further research is most urgently
needed.
The workshop will be hosted virtually by the Newton Gateway to
Mathematics, who are playing a key role in the RAMP Continuity Network,
and we anticipate that the event will run from 11:00-15.00 each day.

This conference will take place virtually at Newcastle University from
19-21 May 2021. UKMHD brings together UK researchers working on
magneto-hydrodynamics (MHD) with applications to astrophysics
(exoplanets, solar atmosphere and interior, stars and galaxies),
geophysics (deep interior of Earth and other planets), plasma physics
(solar wind, tokamaks) and industry (casting, liquid metal batteries,
etc). There is no fee for attending the meeting. Registration and
abstract submission are open now via the website (see below). Abstracts
must be submitted before April 28. The registration deadline is May 14.
Presentations by PhD students and postdocs are particularly encouraged.
