DETAILS: A training workshop for low speed wind tunnel testing will be
held on the 4th and 5th of September 2023 at the University of Glasgow.
This is open to academic, industry and CFD researchers new to
experimental techniques. Activities will include wind tunnel model
installation, aerodynamic testing for loads, use of multi-hole pressure
probes and CTA, demonstration of optical methods including LDA and PIV.

DETAILS: A workshop on MRI measurements of flow and turbulence will be
held at the University of Nottingham, where researchers and academics
who are interested in using 4D flow MRI can learn the state-of-the-art
techniques from experts (see the list below). This workshop is targeted
not only for clinicians dealing with the diagnosis of blood vessels with
atherosclerosis or aneurysm, but also for engineers designing
machineries with concealed flow channels such as the nuclear power
plant, engines and pumps. There will be a visit to the Sir Peter
Mansfield Imaging Centre to see the world-leading MRI facility as part
of the workshop.
