Scottish greats such as James Clerk Maxwell, Robert Brown, James Watt

Fluids Conference on the question of separate measurement of shear,
extension and rotation rates in complex flows (the latter distinct from
vorticity). There are funds to support attendance at this session

the STFC-funded project "A solar-like dynamo driven by magnetic
buoyancy". The goal of this project is to simulate magnetic field
generation and buoyancy instability in the solar interior using direct
numerical simulations in both Cartesian and spherical geometries. For
